Tour Journal 7: Costa Brava España, what an incredible country. I’ve had a special connection with the landscapes, the people and the culture since coming here for the first time 5 years ago. once again, it’s making me feel things, expanding my mind. the warmest people. I have some really good friends showing me around + my legendary tour manager Ana taking me to play at the sweetest places. I’m in good hands ☺️

Tour Journal 4: a tale from budapest + solymár instead of sharing my thoughts on how great budapest is (because it really is), I thought I’d offer a little story ☺️ the morning after.. playing a magical show for @sofarbudapest, I was eating breakfast (an acai bowl) on pozsonyi st. there I met a bloke with a man bun named palmi (real nice fella). palmi noticed my guitar and told me his sister hanna organised garden shows...he was more into techno though. i’d actually heard of a hanna who put together intimate concerts in hungary, because my friend lucas (who I travelled with for the first 10 shows of this tour) was best friends with one from budapest. low and behold, it was the same hanna! this is literally one of those minor miracles, as the population of Budapest is 1.75 million. yep, it’s almost a 1/2,000,000 chance. i showed palmi ‘magnets’, we exchanged details and that was it. later that day, I got a message from hanna saying she had a backyard show tomorrow that she’d like me to headline. I replied yes. what a show it was..... highlighted by strong community spirit, great hungarian food and good hospitality. It was in this little town called Solymàr which had lush natural beauty~ picture slopy hills and green fields. as I get older, I realise more and more fate is real. be true to yourself, your feelings and the people around you... slowly, the depths of your visions carve their place.

Tour Journal 3: Graz, Innsbruck, Udine, Brunico, Darmstadt what a privilege to play my songs on this beautiful continent and it has been liberating to give my undivided attention to every moment. italy and austria are jaw droppingly beautiful. the dolomites, the alps, the charm of the old towns, so much good food... we’re a quarter of the way through the tour. played Darmstadt with five strings and the next chapter is Eastern Europe 🚲 📷 @fredtheflower
Tour Journal 2: Vienna coming to the realisation that the best part of touring as a singer songwriter is the community’s who become your family on the road. selfless people opening their homes or giving you a locals guide to their city. I’m staying at these lovely humans from Luxembourg. Ones a social worker with disadvantaged immigrants, the other two are environmentalists. absolute legends. Vienna is an amazing city. Mountains. History. Romans. Anschluss. Artist Cards. Architectural designs that blow your mind. It constantly feels like your stepping into new worlds. I’ve had a couple days off after the most epic living room show @freilichopenarts (Just 30 of us, some on the floor, some on the couch, no mics, no leads, raw). constant travel resumes tomorrow with 4 shows in Italy and Austria. taking it all in :)
